The best way to increase your skills is by identifying potential new markets and new clients. As a practitioner in reflexology you want to increase your client base as well as having advanced techniques to provide better treatments and give your clients better results. We have developed original stimulating courses that improve the way we use reflexology on the mind, body and spirit.
One of the biggest client bases surrounds pre-conception and pregnancy. For many couples it is an emotional and physical rollercoaster over years to achieve a viable pregnancy. Much research has proven how reflexology can help clients trying to get pregnant and help with pregnancy associated problems. Pre-conception and Pregnancy course teaches you how to increase the chances of a client getting pregnant and having a viable pregnancy with reflexology diet and nutrition. You will be shown techniques to help stimulate regular ovulation, reflex points to focus on throughout pregnancy and how to help with a natural labour.
Another large market surrounds the spine and the associated problems due to compression of spinal nerve roots. Many of us are aware that whiplash can cause referred pain to the hand due to compression of the nerve roots in the lower neck. This principal can also apply to any organ or part of the body. Imagine that the depression a client unexplainably suffers from is as a result of compression on the nerve root thoracic nine which innovates the adrenal galnds.
Spinal reflexology will teach you that many conditions ranging from tinnitus to indigestion may be caused by compression of spinal nerve roots leading to organs which could go on to cause disease. By using new techniques to unblock the spinal nerve roots we can help restore neural pathways and circulation to the affected organ and help it function better.
Attracting clients in your area is an easier task if you promote an incentive to try your reflexology. For example offer an indulgence treatment for their first session or foot and hand reflexology treatment. Time is a luxury we can afford to offer if we are working from home or visiting clients. Your first treatment or promotion could be a tip to toe treatment which includes Foot and Hand reflexology or you could combine it with Indian Head Massage. Hand reflexology can be effective when working with the press, or given to clients at their desk and you could show your clients points on their hand to work in between sessions.
Some reflexologists do very well by offering Indian Head Massage to their clients. This gentle treatment has had great results for head related problems, shoulder to arm disorders and can help ailments associated with stress.
Our tutors and guest lecturers are qualified in Reflexology, counselling skills, nutrition, Reiki, first aid, hypnotherapy, aromatherapy and Indian Head Massage as well as qualified medical practitioners. As a graduate of the London School of Reflexology you can expect a network of help and support from a range of sources including other practitioners in Reflexology, the Association of Reflexologists and the London School of Reflexology, including conferences, regional meetings and magazines.
